Body Lighting

I didn’t get nearly as much done today as I was planning at the start of the day, but I was tired, and just wanted to spend part of the day vegging out.

I got the various body lights and associated wiring installed, and somehow (and I can’t explain how or why) it took me almost three hours to do it.

Its going to be a fairly nice week, though, so I expect to get a lot done after work during the week.

The high beam wiring from the headlight unit, as well as the parking lights and turn signal wiring got bundled up into a harness.

The driver’s side lights also got similarly wired up.

On the rear of the car, I started off by mounting the lights. The holes Factory Five had drilled were vastly off where they should’ve been, so it took a while to get them mounted correctly.

The rear has two lights on each side, either with a low and high setting. I bundled the wires together and wired them into a Weatherpack connector.

Both sides got wired up. The lights are wired with the tail lights being the “low” setting on all four rear lights. The turn signals are the bright setting on the bottom two lights, and the brake lights are the top two.

I may go back out later this evening and deal with the backup light mounting, if not I’ll tackle that tomorrow. I did a little bundling of the chassis harnesses, but didn’t finish it. That, also, I may do tonight, if not tomorrow after work.

I’m hoping to be ready by next weekend to put the body on for good, but I think I can still hit my deadline if it takes me two weeks to button up the car.
